Abstract

The article with the title "Public Official Speech Expressions in Virtual Conversational Discourse on the Facebook Social Media Platform" is the result of research that presents the reality of speech expressed by the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara through a facebook account. This study uses an approach to the type of phenomenological research. Data collection uses documentation techniques, namely by capturing images on Bang Zul Zulkiflimansyah's facebook account which was posted in May 2022. The results show that as public officials, West Nusa Tenggara uses their facebook accounts to express appreciation for culture, art, and culinary; deliver an appeal; community greetings; giving motivation; providing compensation; disaster response activities; health information; sports information; information attending activities; tourist attraction information; meet the characters; jokes (entertainment); educational information; response to problems of farmers and ranchers; legal events; and political events.
