Abstract

Environmental law enforcement closely related to the lives, environment and other organism. Having a healthy and beautiful environment is the right of mankind. By implementing normative-empirical legal method, this research is expected to gain a comprehensive and systematic picture on the protection and environmental management. The data was collected through interview, books, journals, reports and online website. Summary of this study shows that, protection and environmental management also law enforcement have been concluded in the Law Number 32 of 2009 on Protection and Environmental Management, and other implementing regulations. However, at implementation and law enforcement levels of the environmental damages and impact of projects such as hill dredging, soil excavating with some deforestation, noise pollution, lots of unlicensed mineral C mining and also companies which not reporting the environment condition they managed, thus there are still not-optimal. Likewise, the factor of weak public awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability, the increasing and varied complaints of environmental cases, and the lack of firmness of law enforcement officers in anticipating potential violations of environmental destruction.
