Abstract

This study aims to identify the distribution of andesite rock in the Pringgabaya area, East Lombok Regency, a region rich in mineral resource potential. Andesite, a product of volcanic activity, holds significant economic value and is frequently utilized as a construction material. The geoelectric resistivity method—specifically the Wenner–Schlumberger configuration—was employed to examine subsurface rock layer resistivity and obtain a detailed picture of the geological structure. Resistivity data were collected along two survey lines and subsequently analyzed to identify the underlying lithology. The results indicate that the lithology in the study area consists of clayey sand, gravel, and andesite, with identified depths ranging from 2.5 to 48 meters. Line 2 shows greater potential for the presence of andesite compared to Line 1, with the distribution predominantly occurring between the 25-meter and 190-meter marks. These findings confirm the potential of the Pringgabaya area as an economically viable site for andesite mining.
