Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Family-Based Literacy Love Program (CLBK) in increasing community visits to the Ampenan Tengah Urban Village Library in Mataram City, as well as to identify the obstacles encountered during its implementation. The CLBK program is a literacy initiative that engages families as a means to foster reading interest and a literacy culture within the community. This study employs a qualitative method with an evaluative approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants consisted of library administrators, urban village officials, and community members involved in the CLBK program. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of the CLBK program has contributed to increased reading interest and community visits to the library, particularly during program activities. However, the program's effectiveness has not been optimal due to low community participation and the fact that activities have not been carried out on a routine and sustainable basis. Furthermore, several obstacles were identified, namely budget limitations, inadequate library facilities and infrastructure, insufficient program promotion to the public, and limited community involvement. Therefore, increased budgetary support, strengthened facilities and infrastructure, and enhanced collaboration among the library, the urban village government, and the community are required to ensure the CLBK program operates more effectively and sustainably in boosting library visits.
