Abstract

YouTube is among the most popular applications, especially among students. It also offers learning experiences with new technology that will be useful to them in the future. Students can watch a variety and made content of English-learning videos at any time from any location and any occasion. This study purposes to ascertain how students enhancement the YouTube application to practice speaking in front of classroom. In order to address the research objectives, this study employs quantitative approaches through test. This study elucidates students' perspectives on YouTube usage, speaking skill improvement, and their approaches to it. According to this study, some of the 23rd students in the first grade at SMA Islam AL -Azhar NW KAYANGAN who utilized YouTube to practice speaking English during English classes were able to speak the language more fluently. The results of this research indicate that the students' speaking practice showed significant progress not only in their performance as their experiment but also in their pronunciation and fluency as long as they practiced in front of the class. In conclusion, the researcher stated that YouTube application could enhance their speaking skill.
