Mas’ad, S.Pd.,M.Si Pembimbing II : Nurin Rochayati, S.Pd.,M.Pd ABSTRAK Masyarakat dikawasan pesisir Indonesia sebagian besar berprofesi sebagai nelayan yang diperoleh secara turun-temurun dari nenek moyang mereka.Karakteristik masyarakat nelayan terbentuk mengikuti sifat dinamis sumber daya yang digarapnya, sehingga untuk mendapatkan hasil tangkapan yang maksimal nelayan harus berpindah-pindah.1) Bagaimana kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat pesisir Kelurahan Bintaro Kecamatan Ampenan Kota Mataram 2) Bagaimana tingkat pendidikan masyarakat pesisir Kelurahan Bintaro Kecamatan Ampenan Kota Mataram.Manfaat penelitian ini adalah manfaat teoritis dan praktis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Bintaro Kecamatan Ampenan Kota Mataram Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif.Sumber data yang digunakan sumber data primer dan sekunder.Instrument penelitian peneliti itu sendiri.Teknik penentuan informan teknik proposive sampling yang menjadi informan kunci yaitu anggota masyarakat dan pemerintah daerah dan informan biasa pemerintah daerah diantaranya Lurah Bintaro.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat Kelurahan Bintaro Kecamatan Ampenan Kota Mataram mengalami perubahan hal ini tampak dalam kehidupan sosial saling membantu dan mampu meringankan beban bagi masyarakat nelayan. Masyarakat di Kelurahan Bintaro sudah terbiasa melakukan aktifitas secara gotong royong salah satunya gotong royong kebersihan lingkungan, karena masyarakat beranggapan bahwa dengan gotong royong seberat apapun pekerjaan itu dapat diselesaikan dan mampu menepis perbedaan, mempererat persaudaraan, meringankan beban dan dapat membantu faktor ekonomi masyarakat nelayan Bintaro itu sendiri. Tingkat pendapatan ekonomi tidak sebanding, dimana kehidupan masyarakat nelayan Bintaro sangat bergantung pada musim. Menjadi nelayan tidak semudah yang kita bayangkan banyak mengalami kesulitan di mana dalam proses tangkapan ikan tidak semudah itu. Misalnya disaat kondisi cuaca yang bagus maka hasil tangkapannya juga banyak, tapi disaat kondisi cuaca yang buruk seperti musim ombak besar nelayan tidak berani untuk melaut jadi penghasilan nelayan tidak ada sama sekali kalaupun tetap berangkat melaut hasil tangkapan ikannya sedikit atau menurun dikarenakan ikan sangat sulit ditangkap sehingga kerja keras nelayan menjadi sia-sia. Kata kunci : Kondisi Sosial, Ekonomi, Pendapatan, dan Tingkat Pendidikan. ABSTRACT Most of the people in the coastal areas of Indonesia work as fishermen who have been handed down from generation to generation from their ancestors. The characteristics of the fishing community are formed following the dynamic nature of the resources they are working on, so to get the maximum catch the fisherman must move around. 1) What is the socio-economic condition of the coastal communities of Bintaro Village, Ampenan Subdistrict, Mataram City 2) What is the education level of the coastal community of Bintaro Subdistrict, Ampenan Subdistrict, Mataram City. The benefits of this research are theoretical and practical benefits. This research was conducted in Bintaro Village, Ampenan District, Mataram City. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. Data sources used are primary and secondary data sources. The research instrument of the researcher itself. The technique for determining informants is the propellant sampling technique that is the key informant, namely members of the community and local government and ordinary local government informants including the Lurah Bintaro. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data display, and verification The results showed that the socio-economic conditions of the people of Bintaro Village, Ampenan Subdistrict, Mataram City, experienced a change. This was apparent in the social life of helping each other and being able to ease the burden on fishing communities. Communities in the Bintaro Kelurahan are accustomed to doing mutual cooperation activities, one of which is environmental cooperation, because the community believes that with any heavy cooperation, the work can be completed and able to ward off differences, strengthen brotherhood, ease the burden and can help the economic factors of the Bintaro fishing community alone. The level of economic income is not comparable, where the lives of Bintaro fishing communities are highly dependent on the season. Being a fisherman is not as easy as we imagine many have difficulties where the process of catching fish is not that easy. For example, when the weather conditions are good, the catches are also many, but when the weather conditions are bad such as the big wave season the fishermen do not dare to go to sea so the fishermen's income is not there at all even if they still go to sea the catches of the fish are few or decreased because the fish are very difficult to catch so fishermen's hard work is in vain.
